Projected total cost of chronic disease from 2016-2030 in Washington is $915 billion. In 2015, 4.1 million people in Washington had at least 1 chronic disease, 1.6 million had 2 or more chronic diseases. Chronic disease could cost Washington $44 billion in medical costs and an extra $17 billion annually in lost employee productivity (average per year 2016-2030).
