Projected total cost of chronic disease from 2016-2030 in Oregon is $534 billion. In 2015, 2.5 million people in Oregon had at least 1 chronic disease, 1 million had 2 or more chronic diseases. Chronic disease could cost Oregon $25.7 billion in medical costs and an extra $9.9 billion annually in lost employee productivity (average per year 2016-2030).
