Projected total cost of chronic disease from 2016-2030 in Texas is $3.5 trillion. In 2015, 15.6 million people in Texas had at least 1 chronic disease, 6 million had 2 or more chronic diseases. Chronic disease could cost Texas $166 billion in medical costs and an extra $66.8 billion annually in lost employee productivity (average per year 2016-2030).
