Projected total cost of chronic disease from 2016-2030 in Washington, D.C. is $79 billion. In 2015, 354 thousand people in Washington, D.C. had at least 1 chronic disease, 119 thousand had 2 or more chronic diseases. Chronic disease could cost Washington, D.C. $3.8 billion in medical costs and an extra $1.5 billion annually in lost employee productivity (average per year 2016-2030).
